Private, offline notes
Don’t just save it. Remember it.
Podsage turns your notes into a second brain that resurfaces what you’ve learned, when it’s worth revisiting.
Coming to iOS and Android. Email us and we will tell you the day it launches.
Writing something down is how you give yourself permission to forget it.
Features
Your notes
Every note, exactly where you left it.
Pin what matters, colour-code by category, and find any note the moment you start typing. Favourites stay one tap away.
The page
One note holds everything.
Markdown, images, files and voice notes on the same page, with links that tie one idea to the next. Put a title in [[double brackets]] and the two notes are joined.
Underneath, every note is a plain Markdown file.
The Pod
Watch your thinking take shape.
Every link you write draws the Pod: a living map of what you know. Search it in milliseconds, typos and all.
Finds what you meant, not what you typed.
-
Exact words
Matched from the first letters, as you type, so feyn is already enough for Feynman.
-
Near-spellings
For the slip of a thumb: undertand still finds understand.
-
Sounds alike
For the names you have only ever heard said out loud.
Search only widens when the step before finds nothing, and if nothing genuinely matches, it shows you nothing rather than a guess.
Fast indexed search, built on SQLite FTS5 and kept on your phone. It stays this quick across thousands of notes.
Spaced repetition
Notes that come back before you forget.
A smart spaced-repetition schedule works out when a note is about to slip from memory, and brings it back that day.
Or set your own date, time and rhythm.
Quick capture
Capture it without stopping.
Write straight into your note from the notification shade: mid-video, mid-chapter, mid-thought.
Streaks
Show up, and keep showing up.
Streaks, freezes for the days life gets in the way, and goals that count the days ahead. A freeze covers a missed day for you, and a goal counts forward from the day you set it.
Levels
Five levels, earned a note at a time.
Points for writing and reviewing. Climb from Note-taker to Legend, unlocking a few things on the way.
Privacy

FAQ
Questions, answered.
On your phone, as plain Markdown files. The images, files and voice notes you add are stored alongside them. Nothing leaves your phone unless you export or share it yourself.
No. There is no sync and no account, so a note written on one phone stays on that phone. When you want a copy somewhere else, export your notes as Markdown to Google Drive or iCloud, or share a single note, whenever you like.
No. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log in to. Open the app and start writing.
Entirely. Podsage makes no network requests at all, so it works exactly the same with or without a signal.
It uses spaced repetition. Podsage works out when each note is about to slip out of memory and brings it back on that day, so you see it again just before you would have forgotten it. More on how it works.
Yes. On any note, choose a custom reminder and pick a date, a time and how often it repeats. That note then follows your schedule instead of the automatic one.
The Pod is where you see your ideas. Every link you write between two notes becomes a line on it, so you can visualise how your thinking connects. It is also your knowledge base: search it and the results come back in milliseconds.
iOS and Android. There is no web app. Podsage is not in the stores yet: email contact@podsage.org and we will tell you when it is.
